M&Q manufacture an Anti-Microbial Girth Sleeve from nylon tubing. The printed tubing is sold in a clear roll of up to but not limited to 2,000 metres. The nylon is discreet and unobtrusive. The girth sleeve is cut to required length and placed over the girth underneath the horse forming a barrier between the belly of the horse and the saddle strap. This barrier film assists in the prevention of the spread of fungi between horses. As the horse sweats, debris stays on the sleeve not reaching the saddle where it can lodge.
Each jockey is allocated their own length which they discard after every session.
The average length is 45 – 46 inches in length.
